Hey guys! Yay I'm back to normal blogging :D done with almost all of my papers already, only left with food and consumer science and Chinese listening compre. So recently I've been seeing a lot of people praising themselves and it seems to be a big deal now.
People say that self-praising boost their confidence, yeah i know i get it but not too much of it until like when you're introducing yourself and you start boosting, isn't that too much? It's good to be humble at times and not going around to boost about yourself because who knows if someone is gonna leave a bad first impression of you. It's best to let people praise you instead, leave it to them, doesn't it gives you more confidence about yourself?
-"Falsehood often lurks upon the tongue of him, who, by self-praise, seeks to enhance his value in the eyes of others."
This part of the quote, "seeks to enhance his value in the eyes of others" yes we all know that people who self-praise wants people to admire him, to look up at him and be envy of his achievement, that felt good isn't it? But again, it's way better when people praise you instead, the feeling would be 10 times better.
So basically do the best you can, be humble, use your talents wisely, and people will see it eventually.
Be the best you can and i believe you can. And all the best for your EOY results guys, and don't look down on yourself just because you didn't get the results you wanted, study hard and you will score well the next time round. Anything is literally possible if you work hard for it. If u got the results you want, that's great and wonderful, continue working hard and you'll be at the top.
Self praise can also be good at times when you praise yourself in your mind, like when you have a lot of negative thoughts, self praise came in handy, think about your good points and smile, bad thoughts will naturally go away.
Whatever your perspective on self-praising is, it is still best to be humble because that's the only way to survive in this society because our particular attitude towards or way of regarding it may not be always right. Heh, All the best for everything you do in your life, remember, you only live once, spend your that 1 life wisely, don't ever do things that would harm you or other people because that isn't the reason why you are here, we are in this world for a reason, and the reason is that someone out there loves us and we should always spend every second of our life wisely, remember this quote: "time waits for no man."
